John Kerry is merely the latest in a long string of ignorant liberals (I know that is redundant) "apologizing" for Mexico's spate of gun violence being fueled by gins from the US.
Mexico's southern border with Guatemala is more porous than the US's borders, and most of the South American drugs are smuggled into Mexican ports. I asked to see the empirical data supporting Kerry's hypothesis which was already being reported in the Lame Stream Media as fact.
Facts:
- Getting guns from the US is an unnecessary risk. Marxist guerrillas and Chavez can supply a near endless supply of AK-47s to cartels.
- South American drug runners can bring weapons into Mexico easier than running guns across the US border.
- With US gun laws so tightly controlled a purchase of multiple automatic weapons would not go unnoticed.
- The primary types of guns being used are already illegal in the US.
- Since testifying before Congress in 1971 Kerry has been a known liar. Why would anyone, ever, believe him.
- In Mexico, as in France, the government employs more than the private sector. That means lots of people doing little for even less money. China is one of Mexico's largest trade partners and probably finds it much easier to bribe a custom's inspector in Mexico, who barely earns a subsistence wage, than one in the US. Some Chinese grenades, AK-47s and RPGs are a very real possibility.
- No one wondered where the Marxist guerillas in Mexico get their guns (hint: they come across Mexico's southern border).
So as Kerry, Clinton and Feinstein lie about where the guns comes from, and the MSM keeps repeating those lies until they become "facts" FoxNews decided to do the math: 90% of the weapons used in Mexican violence DOESN'T come from the US.
